This vintage "faja" was hand embroidered on hand woven fabric. Add a bit of leather at each end and it would make a perfect camera strap. You could also add a bit of zing to your bag by turning it into a purse strap. Of course, don't forget its original purpose and wear it tied around your waist as a belt!
It is definitely a one-of-a-kind piece. It was previously worn by a Mayan woman as part of her traditional clothing.
The embroidered section measures 2-inches wide by 34-inches long. The belt itself is much longer.
