This textile was woven on a back strap loom in the department of Chimaltenango.
It is 17-inches wide and 59-inches long. It was woven from raw cotton and thread dyed with natural dyes. The weaving is just incredible. It is 100% cotton.
The last picture shows the back side of the weaving.
This piece was woven as a table runner. It could be used for that, or it could be cut up to put into your own creation. Pillow covers would be great made from this fabric.
